RAYS successfully delivered the first batch of 40″-900Lb metal seated zero leakage trunnion mounted

On August 23, 2024, under the witness of representatives: from SGS, the National Valve Quality Supervision and Inspection Center (Zhejiang), and the project owner – a batch of large-diameter high-pressure 40″-900Lb metal seated zero leakage ball valves from RAYS exceeded expectations by passing multiple Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT). This includes: hydraulic pressure performance tests, low-pressure air tests, stem packing fugitive emission tests, and torque tests.During the tests, this batch of products achieved leakage rating A and met the low torque requirements under full differential pressure, receiving unanimous recognition from both the owner and third-party authoritative organizations.In early 2024, after RAYS won this highly challenging project, our R&D center and manufacturing team collaborated successfully and recently delivered it.Unlike traditional soft-seated structures, this trunnion mounted ball valve employs a: multi-layer metal seat and packing design, pressure-induced elastic deformation of the ball seat based on element analysis, and enhancing seating reliability. This design allows the product to perform well in complex conditions involving natural gas with particulate matter & heavy condensate oil, while also meeting ISO15848-1 fugitive emission ECO- friendly requirement.The low torque design enables the use of smaller actuators. Under measured full pressure differentials, the torque is over 30% below the average level. This allows for easy opening and closing, effectively reducing the procurement costs of actuators and further satisfying users’ pursuit of high cost-performance products. After thorough technical disclosure and program validation in the preliminary phase, three valves from this batch were successfully assembled and pressure tested in one go!Once delivered, this project will be used in one of the world’s largest natural gas and condensate oil extraction projects. Cryogenic Ball Valve: Equipped with High-Performance Actuator

Recently, RAYS successfully delivered a batch of pneumatic ball valves to an international customer. This project will transport liquefied natural gas along the Northern Sea Route. To adapt to the harsh Arctic weather, these pneumatic ball valves are not only capable of stable operation in Cryogenic environments but also come with customized pneumatic actuators for quick opening and closing.Given the flammable and explosive nature of liquefied natural gas, in order to meet customer demands and ensure equipment safety during the design and production process, RAYS’ pneumatic ball valve is designed with a drip tray on the extended bonnet of the cryogenic ball valve. The drip tray is installed on the outside of the insulation layer to prevent condensed water from dripping onto the insulation layer and the upper part of the valve body, thereby protecting the insulation layer and preventing cold energy loss.Additionally, fireproof design and anti-static design are particularly important. The RAYS’ pneumatic ball valve uses graphite seals in various sealing parts to meet fireproof requirements and adopts a spring-loaded conductive structure to prevent the accumulation of static charges, which could lead to explosion hazards. When the valve cavity pressure exceeds the set pressure and the cavity pressure is abnormal, the valve seat will slightly move away from the surface of the ball to release the excessive cavity pressure into the channel.This batch of Cryogenic pneumatic ball valves can operate stably within a temperature range of -120C to +60C. Each component, after cryogenic treatment, meets the relevant standards. They have performed excellently in Cryogenic tests and high-pressure gas tests, and inspection reports can be provided. RAYS Successfully Delivers High-Performance Pneumatic Plug Valves, Enhancing CNOOC Daxie Petrochemic

Recently, RAYS successfully completed a significant delivery by supplying CNOOC with a batch of customized high-performance pneumatic plug valves. These valves are specifically designed for the renovation of the tank area in the CNOOC Daxie Petrochemical Distillate Oil Phase V Project, which includes product upgrades and expansion engineering. This delivery highlights RAYS’s extensive expertise and proficiency in valve design and manufacturing.The pneumatic switch plug valves have been customized to meet the specific requirements of the CNOOC project. They incorporate a pressure-balanced inverted cone design that guarantees efficient shut-off performance even in demanding conditions. Operating these valves is simple and dependable, as they only require a 90-degree rotation of the valve stem to open or close.The valve design incorporates a grease injection mechanism that uniformly applies a dense oil film across the sealing surface through a specialized oil groove on the plug surface under pressure. This feature ensures bidirectional sealing, minimizes friction over time, and provides efficient lubrication, adhering to the ISO 15848-1 Class B low leakage standard for enhanced safety and environmental protection.The larger end of the plug is equipped with a small orifice that allows the pipeline medium to lift the plug against the inverted cone surface, aiding in sealing and reducing operational torque. Additionally, a check valve located at the smaller end of the plug enables the pipeline medium to increase grease pressure in the upper chamber when necessary, balancing pressures and extending the valve’s operational lifespan.The plug surface undergoes rigorous nitriding and nickel-phosphorus alloy plating treatments, significantly enhancing hardness and wear resistance, even in high-pressure, high-frequency environments. The valve stem, made from 17-4PH martensitic precipitation-hardened stainless steel, is robust and durable, making it suitable for high-load conditions. Its blowout-proof design and triple-seal structure further enhance the valve’s durability and sealing performance.In consideration of the specific requirements of the petrochemical industry, these valves are equipped with a bottom adjustment rod that supports the plug and aids in dissipating static electricity, effectively reducing safety risks. They are designed with fireproof features and fully comply with the API 6D international standard, ensuring superior safety in project applications.This successful delivery was achieved through close collaboration and comprehensive technical discussions between RAYS and CNOOC. RAYS has recently delivered a batch of extra-large slab gate valves to overseas clients. These valves incorporate a parallel single gate and floating seat design, enabling bidirectional operation. They are designed to ensure reliable sealing, flexible operation, and ease of use in opening and closing.The gate valves support nominal diameters up to DN1200 and include specially designed flow holes to optimize fluid dynamic characteristics. When fully opened, the pipeline’s alignment with the gate’s flow holes mimics a straight pipe, thus minimizing flow resistance. This design significantly reduces overall pressure loss within the system, decreases energy consumption, and enhances system efficiency and performance.The slab gate valves feature a precision-closing mechanism where the gate vertically moves through a precise guide system. This mechanism drastically reduces the friction coefficient and wear during operation. The sealing surfaces of the seats offer options between dual soft seals or a combination of soft and hard seals, facilitating a dual-seal effect on each seat surface. The floating seat design enables the inlet side seat to move toward the gate under medium pressure when the valve is closed, creating a substantial sealing pressure ratio and establishing the primary seal.
