Fugitive Emissions Summit (China)

RAYS FLOW CONTROL attended Fugitive Emissions Summit China 2016 on September 20-21, 2016 located in Shanghai.WHAT IS THE FUGITIVE EMISSIONS SUMMIT CHINA 2016? Fugitive Emissions Summit China aims to bring together a community of end users, EPC’s, distributors, manufacturers, and suppliers for an exciting conference and exhibition that will help address the ever-changing world of fugitive emissions regulations and control. There will be a strong emphasis on LDAR programs and how all industries affected by current regulations can interpret and meet the regulations whether it be downstream or upstream. AUDIENCEThe content of the conference will be particularly of interest to:Engineers and managers from reliability, maintenance, piping and HSE departments in chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas companies.Suppliers and manufacturers of Fugitive emissions management products and servicesGovernment, regulatory bodies and research institutesMaterial and process engineers from engineering companies.Decision makers within these companies/bodies WHY A CONFERENCEFugitive emissions is not a new concept in China. However despite the growing concerns on the air quality and environmental issues, the Fugitive emissions and LDAR technologies have not been widely adopted in China’s industrial market until recent years. In December 2014, the ministry of environmental protection has drafted a remediation programs for China’s petrochemical industry, targeting a 30% reduction of VOCs emission by 2017. “Strengthen VOCs control. Comprehensive VOCs control should be implemented in petrochemicals, organic chemicals, surface coating, packaging, printing and other industries. Technology transformation of ‘Leak Detection and Repair’ (LDAR) should be conducted in petrochemical industry.”This conference aims to bring a group of experts from the global industry to share their knowledge, experience and innovations on the fugitive emissions control and LDAR practices. End users, government bodies, research institutes and engineering companies are also welcome to share their successful cases, challenges, and new legislations in China. This conference will focus on the Chinaperspective and cover comprehensive topics beneficial to the end users, engineering companies, government bodies and equipment suppliers. RAYS Flow Control obtained CE(PED) certificate

RAYS flow Control, Inc is pleased to announce that it has been awarded certification for Council Directive 2014/68/EU Module H of the Pressure Equipment Directive in August 2017, Notification Body No. CE 1155. The certification authority is SGS Portugal SA which covers design, production and final inspection and testing of gate valves, ball valves, globe valves, check valves and butterfly valves. This certificate has played a positive role in the expansion of RAYS FLOW CONTROL's products in the European market.Definition of Pressure Equipment Directive(PED)The Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) 2014/68/EU (formerly97/23/EC) of the EU sets out the standards for the design and fabrication of pressure equipment ("pressure equipment" means steam boilers, pressure vessels, piping, safety valves and other components and assemblies subject to pressure loading) generally over one litre in volume and having a maximum pressure more than 0.5 bar gauge. It also sets the administrative procedures requirements for the "conformity assessment" of pressure equipment, for the free placing on the European market without local legislative barriers. It has been mandatory throughout the EU since 30 May 2002, with 2014 revision fully effective as of 19 July 2016. This is enacted in the UK as the Pressure Equipment Regulations (PER). The set out standards and regulations regarding pressure vessels and boilers safety is also very close to the US standards defined by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). This enables most international inspection agencies to provide both verification and certification services to assess compliance to the different pressure equipment directives.…
